Establish a realistic budget.

Hire a wedding planner, if you wish.

Begin compiling a guest list.

Begin browsing rings.

Book a photographer.

Book ceremony/reception locations.

Consider wedding insurance through your agent or ask reception site for brochures.

 

8-5 Months

 

Book officials.

Order wedding gown.

Start cake and caterer testing.

Take an engagement photo.

Send out a Save the Date

 

5-4 Months

 

Order invitations.

Book caterer.

Book florist.

Book band or DJ.

Book hairdresser.

Renew/order passports if necessary.

 

4-2 Months Before

 

Choose music for ceremony.

Purchase rings.

Obtain marriage license.

The Day Before
